10tons Ltd., known for their amazing cross-platform games, has launched the upgraded version of Sparkle game titled Sparkle 2 for Symbian devices. The original Sparkle (titled as ‘Sparkle the Game’ and ‘Sparkle HD’ in iTunes App Store) has been downloaded millions of times on ten platforms since 2007. The Symbian version of Sparkle won Nokia’s Calling All Innovators grand prize of $250 000 USD in 2011. The long-awaited sequel to this award-winning hit action puzzle was released first for iOS at 6th June and later got published on Nokia Store.
The game play is as simple as original “Sparkle” — you just have to pop-up all the marbles by making pair of three or more before the train of marbles reach the ‘life-hole’. The aim of the game is to locate five magical keys unlocking something of great value in mystical lands trapped between day and night. Doing these all the time will pop-up new power-ups and unlock new achievements. If you have played both of Sparkle and Sparkle 2, you will term Sparkle 2 as smoother, though little slower game. Game start-up takes over a minute — but the fun after that is continuous. Sparkle was a “puzzle” genre based game, while this one aims to be an “action” game with blasting good sound effects. You’ll love the soundtrack more than everything – which makes the game capable to keep you enjoying for hours. After playing three levels, the game caught amazing pace for me and I kept playing it all the night. Whichever game-genre you like, Sparkle 2 is capable of making you fall in love with it.
